im told there used to be a jam factory in town, im just interested in where it was and who owned it if its true,think it was somewhere on whitt moor

Try a book called "Life Down t'Lane" by Len Thompson (I think). Seem to remember he mentioned a jam factory around Pottery Lane
If I were two-faced, would I be wearing this one?

The jam factory was on the south side of Avenue Road on Whittington Moor. I don't know who owned in but can remember it being in production in the 1950's.
It can be seen on the old maps of the area which can be viewed at :
